Mitch Vaughn Have always had positive results regardless of my purpose in several clinics. From glasses, x-ray, dermatologist, pulmonary, etc. Everyone is very professional and helpful. The volunteers are the best and also caring and helpful. The new valet service is awesome. The facility is clean, and I have never experienced any lengthy wait times. This is a great VA facility providing the care veterans deserve.

Sherri Lynn Thanks to the VA in Bonham! Having this location has been a saving grace since we live North and it takes us 40 min we have a pleasurable drive thru the country and by the time we get there everyone that works there are extremely helpfully and courteous. The departments are very organized and they try to expedite your appointments in a timely manor. Its not easy going to any medical facility and I appreciate the VA in Bonham taking care of my husband.

Major Bob I have always received good service here. People were polite and listened. Yes it is a VA and maybe not as up to date as a private physician. I have to drive 30 minutes to get. I spoke to a vet who lives closer to the big Dallas VA but he likes this one so much better he is willing to drive an extra hour to get here.

Bob mckee The Doctors, nurses, and technicians have all been very caring and helpful. They have treated me with kindness and respect. Even the people in the canteen have gone out of the way to help. I have had good care and bad care at different VA clinics and hospitals, this is a very good one.

Jason Norton I got CT scans 3 weeks ago on a Friday. The hospital said they were going to send those scans the following Monday. I waited 4 days with no calls. I called and left a message for my VA doctor. No call. I called That next Monday and left another message. No call back. I called again that Friday. Still no call. This is completely unacceptable. Im actually very nervous about the outcome of those scans and yall are silent. Will not return my phone calls.

Starscreame It seems like the VA is really stepping it up with the people they are hiring like Daniel Matthews in physical therapy. He was a therapist from Baylor and knew what was wrong in less than a minute. He wasnt rushing though in fact he took his time to show me the stretches and get them tensioned just right. I hope the VA keeps heading this direction.

mike baker Why doesn’t no one at the Bonham VA answer phone calls? I’ve been trying to get the Audiology Department all day and no one wants to answer the phone. I’ve left voice mailed before and no one returns the call. When you push zero to talk with the operator your call doesn’t get answered and it forwards to the Dallas VA. Why is it that a 100% disabled veteran or any veteran for that matter has to fight to get help they need and are in titled too. The medical staff is ok but the bureaucrats are butt heads. On November 14, 2024 first thing in the morning I will be filing yet another VA IG complaint. The north Dallas area VA hospitals including the Sherman, Texas clinics are the worst. Since January 2024 when I started using the BA in the Dallas area I’ve had to fight for treatments and medications. It was so bad back in January 2024 I damn near became one of the 22 a day. You all need to get you shit together and do your JOB!!

J Vness This Bonham VA states theyre a 24 hr VA Hospital, but trying calling on the weekend. I promise you, you wont get thru to an operator. The phone just rings and rings. Dont bother complaining to them either, they apparently dont care what you have to say. I know because my wife and I have tried.

Paige ER doctor actually told my mother to “do something herself” because he “didn’t feel it was his job to do so.” My sister is a nurse, so she did it for my Mom while in a room at the ER. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE.

Carley Leclere I recently brought my son to the ER for evaluation. While the front desk staff was helpful and courteous, I was disappointed with the subsequent care. My son was initially misdiagnosed with a stomach virus. I opted to seek a second opinion at a childrens hospital, where he was correctly diagnosed with strep throat and intestinal intussusception. This accurate diagnosis has allowed for appropriate treatment and monitoring of his condition. I believe that a more thorough evaluation could have led to an earlier and more accurate diagnosis at this facility. I would caution other parents considering bringing their children to this ER.

Megg Weaver I am absolutely blown away as to how well we were treated here! Everyone kept saying "go elsewhere." Im SSSOOOO glad we didnt. The Dr in the ER was so knowledgeable, so respectful and there was no dumb question in his eyes. He was very through with explaining everything. I am seriously so blown away. 10/10 recommend. The staff was amazing from the front desk, to the nurses all the way to the x-ray/CT techs. Broken ribs, broken scapula, bruised lung and tore spleen. He knew about it all and was fully able to educate us! Major difference in UTHealth Tyler vs here in little ol Bonham! The staff has fully earned my trust.

Sarah Juleff The worst hospital ever. I went there with my 3 yr old. They barely asked me questions didnt take her temperature or blood pressure ears anything just tested her for flu strep and COVID while she there coughing very badly gagging trying to throw up. No meds for her or anything we where there for 4 hours and didnt help her at all. I will never go back.

Caly A I’ve been to their ER twice- first time, we had a great experience. Very clean, no wait time and awesome front desk staff and nurses. The female doctor that helped my husband was wonderful. However, last time we went was for my one year old- we didn’t have a great experience with the doctor that “helped” us. His name, Michael Brownlee (which I know thanks to the discharge papers), came into the room, did not introduce himself, kept talking over me as I was trying to explain what was happening to my daughter, dismissed everything I said and ended up diagnosing her in 2 second and left. He was very rushed and not helpful. Didn’t ask if we had questions and didn’t explain what her “diagnosis” was just said that the nurse would bring some pills and juice. We needed up being discharged a couple of minutes after that. My daughter continued not feeling well so we had to take her to a different hospital. I’m very disappointed with the treatment from this doctor.

Sharon Haynes Posted for Gary Haynes. I want to say, you cant believe everything you hear. Especially these days. Ive always been told you dont want to go to Bonham TMC. And sorry to say I believed it. But no more. I was there on the Swing Bed Program, from TMC in Denison. Everyone was great. I had an all-around good care experience! The whole staff was very professional The nurses were great. And I cant say enough about the ladies with (PT) physical therapy. They were great, so I would go back. Thanks, TMC of Bonham.

Amber James I am shocked to see the low ratings and have had only the best experience with the second floor swing program nurses and therapists. Pam, Peggy, Brandy, Shanna, Chip, Heath and others involved in my grandmothers care have been so attentive - providing excellent quality care. This area of the hospital is clean and nice. The visiting family member is offered a meal so that the patient doesnt have to eat alone. I could not ask for a better team of healthcare providers.

Trenna Furrh My loved one had to go to the ER, then be admitted to the hospital three days and 2 nights. The nurses and doctors were excellent. Im so glad that we went to Bonham TMC. I give them an A plus!

Stefanie & Joel Williams The worst hospital ever. I went in for cramping and dehydration..they told me I was fine..just anxiety.. I went to my regular Dr my potassium was loooow! My iron was low, my vitamin d and B was low. And protein was low. They should have administered i.v fluids . I was told I wasnt priority and they needed my bed.. in case you didnt know low potassium is a sign of dehydration..you can die. Ill never be back. Ive never been so sick in my life. The pure disregard for me was inexcusable.

Christine Croce I don’t normally do reviews, but here it goes; To preface this, I have worked in Healthcare for of 15 years. I moved here 3 years ago and haven’t been to a PCP or ER or my Specialists I should be seeing. In 2019 I had emergency gallbladder removal at the hospital I worked for, I would have preferred to go to one closer to my house, but I was at work and the Director walked me down. (I was rushed without warning to the Operating Room) A normal cholecystectomy takes 1-2 hours, mine took over 5 and there were some issues involving my liver when the tried to take it out. I stayed over night and was discharged to call the Surgery Center if I had issues. I called multiple times as I know my body as I have had multiple emergency surgeries, and they never called back. So I went back to the ER and they treated me like a drug seeker even though I expressed I want to be fixed not covered up. I felt my body dissipating over the next 2 weeks and again went to ER, but went closer to my home as I had 105 fever. I WAS SEPTIC AND DYING. I wound up in the ICU, had 3 additional surgeries and coded on the table. I swore to myself I would always advocate for myself, my children and for future patients from then on with confidence not out of fear. I went to this ER bc it was closest, I had my son, and I know the signs of something being wrong. The one star is for the Receptionist ONLY- the LMT who blew my vein trying to get blood I warned him not to flush like normal because that would happen happened (my entire arm is bruised, open, and I can barely move it), I even told him all the blood he took was not going to be viable due to how long it took and how hard it was to collect. He not only told my son sitting calmly coloring in a chair to not move and stay out of the way and to be quiet while he was asking ME if I was ok. Then he put a line in my thumb, and then blood was take from my other arm from someone else. I was taken for a CT scan which they yelled at me because I wasn’t letting my son out of my sight. ‘Not everyone has that village’ . Anyways they started a saline drip, that ran for only 15 min (I didn’t even get 1/4 of the bag), a shot in my back for “cramping” that has bruised my entire back because that gentleman was so crude and didn’t care. I not only heard them talking about me and my son, while laughing and saying the most disrespectful things, I heard then talking about my results and personal information. My rights, medical necessity and HIPAA were violated. In closing I received an incorrect diagnosis, told to go to a bigger hospital, as well told they can’t do anything more because they don’t have and ultrasound tech; meaning they clearly can bill for a CT scan and put other patients in debt for not having an ultrasound tech which is not only less expensive, less invasive, and sometimes all that is needed (but not in my case). The Doctor saw me for 5 min, which I’m sure he will charge for his professional charges to tell me an incorrect diagnosis and he couldn’t help me and to go to a Bigger Hospital. Our Healthcare system is so broken. Not everyone is looking for drugs, not everyone can get a ride or has a babysitter on speed dial, but that doesn’t mean they should be treated any less or that they aren’t in pain. I will be reaching out to the Chief Compliance Officer, requesting and Itemized Bill, and fighting this. Trust the reviews!!! Hopefully someone reaches out to me because there is so much more I could say that happened, and I didn’t post this out of ill intent, but to help change the system DO BETTER!!!!!!
