5 /5 Wendy Thompson: Late in the afternoon on Saturday I started hearing a loud noise under my Escalade. There are few shops open on a Saturday. I gave this shop a call at 3 pm and Jay said to bring it by and they would take a look. They inspected my SUV and found the lower control arm on the front passenger wheel was missing its locknut, had backed out, and the only thing keeping it from falling off was the CV axle it was hitting, resulting in the noise I heard ( see attached photo). Pretty dangerous situation...I could have lost the wheel on the road! Additionally they found that the other 3 control arm bolts were loose and they tightened them. I had new tires put on my SUV about 3 months ago and an alignment - wondering if tire shop loosened these during alignment and forgot to tighten. Regardless, a dangerous situation identified and fixed by crew at Mad Mechanics. The owner, Jay, was great to work with and took the time to explain the situation. Im very fortunate they looked at my vehicle on short notice and fixed this risky situation. Great service!
